How Selling Your Car Works
Selling a junk car to Cash for Junk Cars West Gary takes five steps: send the form, take our call, accept the offer, set a pickup time, and get paid when the car is collected. The tow is free, and same-day pickup is often possible.
The steps
- Send the car's details. The offer form asks for the year, make, model and whether you have the title, then your name, phone number and where the car is. Seven fields, two steps.
- Take our call. We phone you about the car and make an offer for it as it is. This is the moment to mention anything the form didn't ask: missing parts, no keys, a flat tire, a locked gate.
- Say yes or no. Sending the form doesn't commit you. If the offer works for you, we set up the pickup.
- Set the pickup. Same day is often possible. We'll agree where the car is and how the truck gets to it.
- Hand over the car and get paid. You hand over the papers and any keys, and you're paid at pickup, when the car is collected. No towing charge comes out of the offer.
What to have ready
- The title. If it's missing, Indiana takes a BMV certificate of authority in its place; tell us which papers you've got and we'll sort out the route on the call.
- The keys, if you have them. No keys is fine; tell us before pickup.
- Everything personal out of the car: glovebox, trunk, under the seats, the door pockets.
- A clear way to the car, or a note to us about what's in the way.
Tell us where the car is standing
A car at the curb, in a driveway, in an alley or on a lot is fine; we just need to know which, and whether it's on pavement, gravel or grass. Each West Gary block has its own notes:
